BIG BEAR- CA

SEP 2-4, 2017

AGE DETAILS:

The age group is determined by the age of the oldest team mate. (a 7 year old and a 9 year old will race in the 8/9 category). However, if the ages of team mates span more than consecutive age groups (i.e. 6/7 & 10/11 year old) then that team will race on the day of the youngest racer in the Open category. They will be timed but no ranking/prizes will be awarded.

Skills Clinics Saturday:

  • 1 pm - 5 pm
Long Course Sunday (Approximately 3.5 miles in length with 15 obstacles)
  • Ages 10 – 11

ABOUT BIG BEAR:

Big Bear Lake may be a short 2 hour drive from Los Angeles, but you’ll feel like you’re far, far away from the bustle of the city. As a popular year-round mountain destination, there are many different types of outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy. During our summer months you can ride the Scenic Sky Chair to the top of Snow Summit for the best views of Big Bear Lake and The San Bernardino National Forest. From there you can access an expansive network of hiking, cross-country and downhill mountain biking trails. If hiking and mountain biking aren’t for you, check out our Euro-bungee, summer tubing park, or play a couple of rounds at our 9-hole golf course at the base of Bear Mountain.

Lift and Lodging Package deals are available through the Big Bear Visitors Bureau. Visit www.BigBear.com to book the best accommodations for your Big Bear Lake vacation. Choose from motels, hotels, bed & breakfast inns, lodges, private homes, cabins or hostels. With so many options, you're guaranteed to find the perfect fit for you and your family.

The Inaugural Big Bear Kids Adventure Games features a kid sized adventure race where teams of two navigate a ‘natural terrain’ inspired obstacle course. Kids can expect mountain biking, hiking, zip-lines, a Tarzan rope swing, giant Slip-n-Slide, river tubing, cargo nets, mud pits and more.

This is a fun and confidence building outdoor experience for kids ages 6-14.

A great day out for the whole family!
