The Kids Adventure Games is an adventure challenge course designed and run especially for kids ages 6 – 14, in teams of two, involving a range of obstacles & challenges in an outdoor environment. Please read below a complete overview of the 'Race' with 'Frequently Asked Questions' to follow.
Click on icon to see a picture of the obstacle. Visit the Clinics page to see short instructional video's of each aspect of the race.
Per team member: all items to be provided by participants and carried/used the entire race.
Please mark you equipment - duct tape works great for this.
First, wear suitable footwear to follow your racers. They'll be moving fast. We recommend hiking boots, running shoes, bringing a bike, packing your own water, etc.
Second, we know you wish you could race, but this one is for the kids. All racers will receive a map during their athlete meeting. We
do not hand out maps to racers or spectators at race check-in the afternoon before the race. Part of adventure racing is following the map and working
with your teammate to orientate around the course. Parents will be given a map the same time the athletes check in the morning of the race. The course
will be signed and volunteers/staff will be at confusing intersections. Spectating is allowed along the course, but spectators are not allowed to help,
interfere or aid during the races.
The satisfaction your racer will feel when finishing the race is in large part determined by the knowledge they did it themselves!
After each race, we host a celebration with complimentary food for competitors and an awards ceremony.
